We spent Easter this year at Nanny and Gran's house. Much fun was had, including two Easter Egg hunts!
Easter bunnies around the kitchen table.

The first hunt. Anya spies an egg, and enlists Daddy's help.

Just... can't... seem... to find it.... Can you see it? Hint: It's purple.

Easter booty...

Counting out the spoils. They didn't get to eat them though. Instead, the girls re-hid the eggs around the yard for an afternoon egg hunt with their cousins.

We came up with a solution for the problem of different age kids (12, 8, 5, 5, 3, 3) all competing for eggs: we made them do a relay style race, finding eggs one at a time, and running back to the buckets to deposit them. While the kids were running around, we spread out the eggs so each bucket had an even amount.
We had another visitor on the weekend too: an Easter Bat, sleeping in the sun on the wall. Apparently the bats in the area have a fungus which makes them come out of hibernation too early, and then have problems finding food, since the bugs aren't out yet. We hope our little fuzzy friend does well.
