Things I've learned

I was thinking the other day, as I watched a sharp knife fall point first to the floor, that there are things in life you should not try to catch if they are falling. Stifling the reflex to reach out is sometimes important. Some of these I have learned from experience. Others are conjecture:

-The end of the thread on a spool of thread.

-A sharp knife.

-A pane of glass.

-A hot pan of oil.

-A burning log.

-A running chainsaw.

-A rabid wolverine.

-A piano.
