There.

NOW I'm finished fiddling. Maybe.

Hey Carol,

I know I am being SO annoying, but ABCDE is an "initialism". Acronyms have to spell a pronounceable word, like NASA or ACTRA.

Forgive me - this is what I do for a living...

Ha ha ha! That's funny that you're correcting Carol.

Love you both!

You know what annoys me about this blogger template? You can't change the spelling of (in your case "tidbits", in my case "comments") depending if there is only one tidbit or zero or many tidbitS.

How do you, Sarah, as an editor, feel about such inadequicies?

Carol

Hi Sarah, I would argue (as an annoying client might) that ABCDE is pronounceable. You're just not trying hard enough. Abkuhdeh. There, see? ;)

Did you ever hear Big Bird's alphabet song? That's a lot more complicated. *singing* Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz, is the most unusual word I've ever seen.... la la la... etc... :) */end singing*

Besides, I can make words mean whatever I want them to mean. I just have to pay them extra.

Love you!

P.S. Jennifer, you spelled that wrong on purpose, right? Right?

You're right, Carol. I wasn't "thinking outside the (comment) box". Of course ABCDE is sayable; I just need a kleenex after.

Jennifer, thank you for asking. I feel that they should simply insert some parentheses: "tidbit(s)" and "comment(s)". There.

Kind of like Klingon, or Gaelic maybe. Don't stand too close when you're talking to someone. :)

I'm biased anyway towards the word "acronym". I think it's a way cooler word than "initialism". Otherwise I'm all for extreme grammatical correctliness. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion re: the comment(s) section. Ah! Problem solved.

Love C.

I feel sad for the word "initialism" now. Everyone always loves the ever-so-popular "acronym", no one ever takes "initialism" to the prom.

I'll take you to the prom, initialism! I'll take you!

I love the parenthesis suggestion too, by the way. I noticed it right off. I have to go figure out mine and switch it.

Hey Sarah! How's the new house? You should start a blog so we can hear about how fun it is to live in it.

Love
Jennifer

ps I thought about spell-checking "inadequicies" before publishing my comment, but didn't have the energy, and then I thought it would be funny if it were spelled wrong, because, hey. It's a coincidence. Like in highschool when the announcement team would apologise for any "mispronunciations" and pronounce that word wrong.
