Potty

Yay! Hooray! Anya went poop on the potty! One less poopy diaper.... it's a start! But I'm looking forward to more! (less?)

We told Anya that we would stop asking her to go poop on the potty for a month. I figured it would take off the pressure. That was more than a month ago... and I've been gently edging around the topic lately, but today I heard her grunting and I said "If you use the potty you can tell Emerald you went poop on the potty." "Ok," she said and went off to the potty, which is now at the bottom of the stairs (and out of babies' reach).

She sat there for a few minutes and then yelled, "I'm pooping!" Then she said, "That was easy!" Who knows what she was imagining it would be like? Anyway, I'm very happy. She got a tattoo as a reward, and I also let her have a sucker. Then she called Daddy at work who was so happy he said he would bring home a chocolate cake and we'd have a party. I hope we're not upping the bar too much here. I can't imagine doing this every time. Might be worth it though. I'm so tired of diapers.
