Bedtime

Hi all! Is this a good time to say how great my kids are at going to bed? (ducks flying objects)

We just transitioned Dhara and Elora to toddler beds last week. I generally prefer full size twin beds, but the toddler beds fit so much nicer in the room, plus one was from Freecycle, and the other was from Kijiji, so they didn't cost a lot, which is good.

We took the cribs down just before nap time, and the kids were just flying around the room they were so excited. Needless to say, no sleep was had. Bedtime was a little easier, and Elora went straight to bed and lay down, but Dhara didn't like the change and was very upset, hanging over the baby gate and crying. I held her and rocked her, then put her down, then DH held her and rocked her, and put her down again. She eventually stopped crying and went to sleep. It didn't help that her pillow and all her regular toys and blankets were in the wash. Oop. The next few nights she whimpered in her sleep a few times in the night, but she's ok now.

It works out nicely. Anya can climb over the gate in the morning and play with them for a bit, so we don't have to get up right away. Although, when they're awake, that's it, they don't go back to sleep now if they wake up too early.

In other news, there's no other news. DH is still looking for work. There are a couple of nibbles for possible contract work here and there, but nothing firm yet. I've just printed out a bunch of business cards and resumes, and am going to drop them off at a few places this week.

I'm trying to keep my chin up, but I'm a bit bummed.

Maybe it IS time to turn Sabbies Designies Inc into a reality?

Keep your chin up. It's easter. Things come back to life around now, I hear.

What are your weekend plans?
