Ottawa/Yellowknife Space Warp
I was going through some of my Ottawa pics, and I just had to share this one. We were visiting the Museum of Civilization in the historic Canada section. It was really cool, with replicas of old buildings and scenes from a long time ago. We got to a Yellowknife scene... and here was the Wildcat Cafe! Really cool, as a good friend of mine lives there and I've seen pictures of her eating at the same place, which still exists! I was very excited to go in, and I felt like I was in two places at once....
Replica
Real Thing (thanks Vanessa, I "borrowed" your photograph)

oh my goodness! That is the most amazing thing! I am going to borrow your "mirror image" photo and do a little blog of my own. We went there a couple of time this summer for brunch, and Rachel gets a real kick out of the tiny-ness of the log cabin. There seems to be a lot of back-and-forth between Ottawa and Yellowknife...I think it might have to do with government jobs, but we know lots of people from Ottawa, and I think if Yellowknife people eventually head "south", Ottawa is a prime location.
Thanks for the blogging again, by the way. I was checking regularly but getting disappointed over the lack of new posts. Lots of love!
