Bargaining
Anya lately has started bargaining with us over things. If I offer her a cookie, she wants two. If I say we'll read 2 stories at bedtime, she wants 3. But it's pretty funny when she gets it wrong. Tonight I told her she had to eat all her spaghetti, and she had to try ONE piece of red pepper. "TWO pieces" she immediately argued. Or when I said she could have 10 smarties as a treat. "FIVE," she countered.

Ha Ha!!
She's starting to remind me of "Olivia". All of Ian Falconer's stories about this little girl (pig, actually) end with bedtime and Olivia, "who is not at all sleepy".
That's funny, seeing as Anya got an Olivia book for Xmas. Hmm... maybe that's where she learned it...
