Hippo Birdy, Two Ewes...

I had a really great birthday yesterday, everyone. Thanks for the lovely birthday wishes!

The Snowbirds were performing for Armed Forces Day at lunch, so DH packed sandwiches, I took Anya out of school for an hour, and we sat on the grass by the waterfront and watched the airshow. It was awesome, in the truest sense of the word. I don't remember ever being that impressed by airplanes before, but I was just totally in awe of the skill of those pilots.

The wind was a little chilly though, and after a few minutes the kids started to try to crawl into my lap. At the end, I had Dhara inside my shirt, Elora curled up on my knee, DH was in front of us and we were leaning forward hugging him from the back, and Anya was curled into DH's lap. I think we all would have fit inside a hula hoop, we were so close together. Except for the kids being freezing cold, it was a really cozy moment. :)

My birthday presents were awesome: Fraggle puppets! I got four; one from everybody, and DH told me there are 2 more on order, since the store didn't have Boober or Gobo in stock.
I love them so much -- well made, and colourful, and perfect. I think Red is my favourite. She has the best flouffy hair.

I'll post a picture later tonight after I get it off the camera.

Dinner was at East Side Mario's, which was very nice. I had a great pizza, and a margarita, and funnel cake for dessert.

What a great day!
