Only child
Since Sunday, we've been a single child family during the day. Elora has been staying with her Auntie Jennifer and Uncle Jake until today. She had a great time, apparently, and loved playing with her cousins, hardly missing Mommy and Daddy at all.
Dhara, on the other hand, has hardly known what to do with herself during the day when Anya was at school. So we took the opportunity to do a little biking. She just barely fits the toddler bike seat.

I haven't been biking since Anya was a toddler. Then I got pregnant with the twins, and that was that. Now we'll have to fix up the bike trailer... I accidently flattened a tire trying to get it back into the wheel. I think the wheel itself is crooked. Maybe if I get this graphic design job, we can get one of those "half bikes" to attach to the back of my bike. Anya would love that. (Did I mention I went for an interview at the university? Cross your fingers for me.)We decided that Elora should come home today, since I'm leaving for Toronto with Jennifer on Sunday, and I will hardly have a chance to see her. (Dhara will have her turn away, coming with us too.) So DH drove out halfway to Sudbury to meet Jake and Jennifer, and drive Elora back home again.
She was SO crabby... She was whiny, and clingy, and said NO to practically everything that came out of my mouth. Poor thing. I think she was exhausted. I sent her to her room after lunch to "lie down for a time out" and it was no surprise when she was asleep 5 minutes later.
